Node Summit 2015 – Day Zero: Advanced API Design and Management

In this workshop, we will cover best practices for designing and managing APIs built in Node using open source software. First, we’ll take a look at popular frameworks for Node and single out those best suited for the task of designing APIs. Next, we’ll work through the entire lifecycle of API development using open source npm modules to develop data models, connect them to data, plus explore best practices for building, deploying and integrating projects with CI workflows. Finally, we’ll look at post-deployment tasks like debugging, performance tuning and clustering.
